Firms need to register for Connect to update their firm details
Many regulated firms will already be familiar with the FCA’s online submission and notification system, Connect.
However, for those firms yet to sign up to using Connect, time is running out as all regulated Firms will need to have registered for the FCA’s online Connect platform by January 2020.
FCA Connect Platform: Mandatory Reporting:
At least once a year, Firms are required to review and confirm the accuracy of the details for the Firm that the regulator holds, the deadline for which is based upon your Firm’s Account Referencing Date (ARD).
From January 2020, it will become mandatory for this return to be completed online via the FCA’s Connect system.
Therefore, Firms will need to ensure they have registered for the FCA’s Connect platform beforehand.
The Connect system is a useful and easy to use system that allows you to submit regulatory applications and notifications, such as those for Approved Persons, Appointed representatives and also MiFID II notifications, and allows the progress of any applications to be tracked.
